32 weeks, 1 day

Wow, I am feeling large. And carrying low. Had a doctor's appointment today. All is well. He said that the baby's head is down, and it's sitting transverse right now - it's back is under my left ribcage, and it's feet are under my right rib cage. No wonder I've been feeling my right side get kicked... This little one is feisty. And he thinks at the rate my weight-gain has been (if it stays the same, let's hope), it'll be about a 7lb. baby. Any prayers are welcome. :) 8 weeks to go!

The Shout House

Here are some pictures from a dueling piano bar in downtown Minneapolis called the Shout House. We had a great time! Those guys that play are amazing and have talent like none other. They honestly can play music from any genre and era. I wish I could just sit down and play like that - takes me quite awhile to get a tune out without any music. :) Anyways, they thought our group was being extra fun and rowdy and clapping and asked why we were there. Someone from our group shouted out that it was because I was having a baby. Ha. So, up to the piano I went and the guy sang some goofy song by Barry Manilow that I didn't know.

Baby Shower

Here are some pictures from the baby shower this weekend. The secretaries at BLC (along with a few other ladies) put the shower on. My parents, aunts, and cousins were able to make it. It was great being able to see them all! The one picture of me tying a string around my belly was one of the games - Guess the Girth. It was great! One of the funny things I got at the shower was this duck puppet that quacks a children's song when you move its beak. Hilarious! There's a picture of it too. Thanks everyone!

Congratulations, Aaron and Laura!

Rachel's brother Aaron and sister-in-law Laura had their baby girl Ella-Haven Marie Zahn yesterday afternoon. It was an emergency c-section due to Laura's health issues. Ella was 4 lbs. 11 oz and 17.5 inches long. Not too bad for being born 6 weeks early. Praise God for a healthy baby and mom! Congratulations!
