I love to smile!
Doy!
I love this face. :) - "Mom, stop taking pictures, already!"
I love my excer-saucer!
Miss Addie talking away..
Joel and I have been waiting for Addie to roll over for awhile (tummy to back). She's been in the right position - head at a 90-degree angle, arms straight, etc. - but just hasn't had a reason to roll over I guess. So last night we were really working with her and put a toy just out of reach off to the side. We got her to roll over twice.
I guess she's been doing all sorts of jungle-gym movements this week.... On Monday she flipped out of her car seat onto the floor. No worries - she landed on her bottom and grabbed a hold of the leg of my seat I was sitting in. She was looking up at me with a, "What just happened?" look. Guess we can't set her in the car seat without strapping her in anymore!
We went to get our licenses renewed yesterday. Got new pictures since we're both turning 26 in March. My first picture looked like a deer in the headlights - literally. I wasn't ready for the picture, so we had to do a retake. Joel's trying to grow a mustache and it looks like a little bit of dirt underneath his nose on the picture. The lady was joking around with him and asked if he looked at himself in the mirror in the morning. She said her husband had a tough time growing a mustache until he was 35. :/ Joel still has hope (just like Obama promised). But he'll have to wait 10 more years to get it (just like Obama promises with our economy). Addie also had her first trip to the library while we were out and about. She slept.
Joel and I reserved a room at Sunset Bay Resort at the Wisconsin Dells for the Zahn family reunion (Joel's side) in June. I've never been to the Dells before, so I'm pretty pumped. Can't wait for all our family gatherings this summer!

5 months old
Addie turned 5 months old this past Wednesday. We decided to give her some "real" food. So, rice cereal it was. She loves it. Pictures below.
It's been freezing here. So cold that schools have been canceling today and last couple of days. I didn't have to teach Kindergarten music yesterday, which was kind of nice, because I teach them in the morning usually. Joel called me yesterday on his way to class. He was going over the railroad tracks in town and there's a slight slope after that and then a stop sign. A guy was stopped at the stop sign and Joel lightly tapped the brakes. There was a patch of black ice. He tried swerving to the right to go into a snow bank, but the car still ended up hitting the truck with the left-hand back end of the car. The rear tail light is out and part of the bumper too. Thankfully it's just our bumpy, rusty, no-radio Focus and not our new car. We're not even getting our car fixed (except for a new light). Not worth the money.
Joel has off today. We're headed out on a date to go out to eat. This is 2 nights in a row! Last night we went to see a movie.
Hope every one is staying warm! I'm jealous of you Peruvians!
I'm 5 months old and ready to eat!
The first bite.
Hmm, not so sure about this.
Once I got the hang of it, I loved it!
I'm a happy camper in the morning.

A De Pere Christmas/New Year
A frozen Fox River in the background.
A full house - opening gifts.
I love my Aunt Teri!
Cousin Andy drinking hot chocolate after sledding.
Addie with Great-Grandma Poff.
We headed to De Pere, WI, for the New Year. Joel's entire family was there minus 1 (Todd had to work down in AZ). Needless to say it was a packed house most of the days. Addie was spoiled with presents. I'm guessing a perk of being the firstborn. We had fun sledding one of the days and we're both still sore from it.
I finally got our Christmas letter and pictures printed out. Now it's a matter of addressing envelopes.
Hope everyone had a good New Year!
