....or lack there-of.
I came home from teaching music class last Thursday and this is where she lay. Joel said she was playing and all of a sudden it was quiet, he looked down, and she was sleeping.
Wow, being a 1-year-old must be tough work.
Oh, she's almost up again.....
...and we're out. Guess it's time for her nap!
She LOVES to read. I found her up on the recliner in her bedroom reading this book.
A picture for her high school graduation.
Joel found Addie in her room a few mornings ago. Once again, reading...
Reading after church on a Sunday morning.

Labor Day
Yesterday morning we headed up to Taylors Falls. It's about an hour and a half away, northeast of the Twin Cities. The picture above isn't actually ours. :) It's a picture I found on the internet of Interstate State Park. This is exactly what one of the outlooks looks like, though, when you're hiking through the park. Just beautiful. And that boat is a paddle boat that you can pay to ride and get a tour if you wish. We just walked it - about 2.5 miles. We put Addie in a carrier, and Josie came along too. Both did great. We actually might go back up there in a couple of weeks during the week when the fall colors will be nice and get some pictures.

Addie's 1-year check-up
Addie went to see Dr. Johanson yesterday for her 1-yr. check-up. Had shots: MMR and the varicella (chicken pox) shot. Guess she won't have to get the chicken pox like we all did when we were younger. Addie also is a petite little girl. A change from her first few months. :) Haha. Here are her stats:
Weight: 18 lbs. 15 oz. - 12th%tile
Height: 28.5 inches - 24th%tile
Head: 17 inches - 5th%tile
My only concern was that she seemed small according to her measurements, but Dr. J said that growth slows down around this time, and there was nothing to worry about.
